Our Instructors

Miss Deborah Mitton is the Managing Director of Show Case Dance Studios.  Starting formal dance training at the age of 7 in Ballet and Irish and continuing with jazz into her thirties, she has had Canadian and British Instructors.  As well as her dance training she has been a Certified National Coach in figure skating and has attended many international conferences for Elite coaches.  Miss Deborah has founded several skating clubs,  "Theatre On Ice" and Show Case Dance Studios.  

Miss Deborah also enjoys studying and has obtained diplomas in kinesiology, nutrition, child psychology, and adult psychology.  She has also been nominated for a National Coaching award in recent years.

Deborah has also published a book regarding training and figure skating.

Deborah is excited about the dance opportunities Show Case is able to offer in Truro, Tatamagouche and Springhill, and to provide training and job opportunites to dance instructors.

Miss Pamela Grant is originally from Brighton-Sussex, England where she was a child prodigy attending Doris Isaacs School of Dance and the London Guild Hall of Dramatic Arts Exams, as well as being British Tap Champion at the age of 14.  Along with film and stage successes, Miss Pamela excelled in Ballet and obtained her teacher's certificate through BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) and BBO (British Ballet Organization) early in her career. Miss Pamela has trained high level dancers, many who have opened their own studios in many parts of the world or have made careers as performers.  Miss Pamela has trained various figure skating competitors, and has continued throughout the years to train students and teachers through the BATD, BBO and International Dance Council, as well as being an active member of many national and international dance organizations. Miss Pamela continues to operate her own studio in New Glasgow and enjoys choreographing several programs and she is also a mentor for Show Case Dance Studios. For this she is greatly appreciated. 

Mr. Neil Prokop B. A. ( Honors Dance), B.Ed.  trained at the Alberta Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, & the National Ballet School (Glenn GILMOUR, Reginald AMATTO, & Sergiu STEFANSCHI).  He has performed professionally & toured the world with the Stuttgart Ballet and Geneva Ballet.  Neil has trained as a dance teacher at the National Ballet School Teachers' Course (1987-89).  His teaching experience includes:  Eastwood Collegiate Performing Arts H.S. (Kitchener, ON), Unionville (ON) H.S. for the Performing Arts, Dance Generations (Wheeling, WV), Edmonton (AB) School of Ballet.  Neil will be teaching our Master class on Saturday's.  

 

He is also the founder and Artistic Director or The area's first Ballet Company - ENCHANTE.

Jeffery Westlake - Ballroom,  Competitive, Contempory,

Jeffery comes to us with experience in Competitive Dance ( three time Ballroom Provincial Winner), competitive Judging knowledge, Contempory Choreography as well as Director experience in our  local Hub Theatre.
